DIY Moisturizing Face Mask in the nick of time for dry skin season (aka Winter)
I have oily-combination skin, so winter is my season off (drying weather means less oil, and less oil means less work) but I know there are some ladies out there with dry skin. This one is for you! I know there are some of you who will opt for a peel off mask, it is whatever works best for you and your skin, you know it best! A couple of months ago, I posted a DIY moisturizing hair mask for dry hair. I can personally attest to its effectiveness because, interestingly, my hair happens to be as dry as my t-zone is oily! I was thinking of how to apply the effect of the banana hair mask to skin, and I think I have finally found a way. Here’s the recipe…
What You’ll Need
1 Very ripe banana
1 Cup of cream, it can be light or heavy but I prefer heavy for the purpose of the mask
What to Do
Mash the banana and continually add cream until you get a thick, spreadable paste. This can get runny, so make sure you prepare for that. Put your hair up and wear a shirt you don’t mind getting dirty! I find that applying the mask with your fingers heats it up faster and can make it runnier. If you have a fan brush or another similar applicator, try that!
Allow the mask to sit on your face for 20-30 minutes before rinsing off. This mask does not dry or harden.
I hope you enjoyed this recipe for the best moisturizing face mask around! Be sure to let me know if you want to see other DIY options.
