Moisturizing Matte Lipstick | MAC Powder Kiss

Imagine the creamiest, moisturizing matte lipstick, in the most beautiful colors you can imagine.

I found the MAC Powder Kiss lipsticks by accident. I went to Target for a hygiene haul, when I came across the Ulta inside. I decided to take a look, and pick up some Tree Hut goodies.

I have been loving the shaving oil and the sugar scrub in Vanilla.

I picked up three of them—”Over the Taupe,” “Date-Maker,” and “More the Mehrier.” All three are workable everyday shades, with two that I would consider nudes for my skin tone.

As beautiful as the shades are, my favorite part is the creamy, whipped-mousse like texture that will stay put for hours without drying out your lips. It also has a mild fragrance and gorgeous pigmentation. This is one of those lipsticks that I can genuinely wear for hours on end without much lip prep, and not feel like my lips have been sapped of moisture by the end of the day or night. It isn’t totally transfer proof, but it also does not move around as much as your typically moisturizing lip color.

In the photo above, I am wearing Over the Taupe. This shade has quickly become one of my favorite dusty rose nudes.

I love that this lippie is both buildable and blendable, so you can go with a blurred wash of color or an opaque finish for a more glam vibe. This is the perfect lipstick to have in my arsenal because it is simple enough to wear to work in a corporate setting, and still glam enough to perfectly balance out a night-out makeup look.

I plan to buy more shades of this lipstick, and highly recommend it to the woman who loves the staying power of a liquid lipstick—but would love a creamier, more wearable, and lightweight feel.
