MAKEUP TRANSFORMATION TUTORIAL

MAKEUP TUTORIAL FOR BLACK WOMEN

Makeup transformation videos are always some of the most satisfying to watch.  There is nothing like watching a full face makeup look come together before your very eyes, and seeing the power of makeup up close.  More importantly, I think these videos are important because they help us see the beauty in the uniqueness of our own features.  Interestingly, getting into makeup really helped me learn to appreciate my natural beauty even more, and so I wanted to share this with all of you.  Want to see my bare face? Work, work, work, work, work, work! I loved that song when it came out, but I think I loved her looks in the videos even more.  I decided to film this tutorial on the look inspired by the second video (the one where she is in the pink/purple room with Drake).  I have all the products I used listed, and if you want to see how to achieve this look be sure to check out the tutorial below! Enjoy 🙂

HIGHLIGHTER FOR DARK SKIN: JACLYN HILL CHAMPAGNE POP COLLECTION

HIGHLIGHTER FOR DARK SKIN

I remember when I was starting out in makeup, I noticed that celebrities often had a certain glow.  I later came to realize that this glow was the result of highlighter, and then decided that I needed to find a way to make highlighting a part of my makeup routine! My highlighter collection has grown exponentially since then, as I continue the search to find the perfect highlighter for dark skin, and many of my favorites are Becca Cosmetics products.  I am a huge fan of Becca Cosmetics highlighters.  They are buttery, pigmented, and smooth and they are so beautiful on a wide range of skin tones.

I know the spring and summer tend to be packed with special occasions and events with friends and family, and most of them tend to be on the formal side.  I wanted to do a natural makeup look that is pretty and warm weather friendly for those of you who want a wearable look for photos! This natural makeup look is simple, but glam and will be flattering on anyone and everyone! Enjoy 🙂
