Summer is officially upon us, and so I wanted to come on and do this colorful drugstore makeup look as an ode to the season! I used to shy away from green, but I honestly think it is one of the most WOC friendly colors you can try for an all over color eye makeup look. This look is super quick and easy, and will look good on anyone. Enjoy 🙂

How to Wash Makeup Brushes so they’re good as new!
So I thought I would do super quick post about how I clean my makeup brushes! I love for my brushes to be good as new after every wash, and it took me a while to find the perfect technique so I figured others could benefit from a post like this one!
I use a sensitive skin soap bar, fragrance free of course, lukewarm water and a plastic bowl. This method is quick and easy and only requires the bar soap and the water!
Here’s the step by step:
First, dip the brush into the bowl of lukewarm water.
Then, using the bar of soap in a similar way you would use the palm of your hand, move the brush around on the soap.
Add more water when you experience heightened friction. When the foam runs white, your brushes are clean!
Rinse thoroughly, shape, and lay down to dry.
Make sure you don’t sit them up in the cups until they excess water has completely drained or you could risk damaging the glue that holds your brushes together.
Every other week or so, a light oil added to this routine will condition and soften your brushes for smooth and scratch free application every time! I am very particular about the brushes I use for eye and liquid products so I tend to wash those at least once a week.
Hey guys! I had to get this LORAC Unzipped tutorial up because wedding season is at hand and I know a lot of wedding attendees will be snapping photos of their own.
Those of you who follow me already know LORAC is one of my favorite cosmetic lines. I really love the LORAC Unzipped palette for soft, romantic looks. It is similar to the Urban Decay palette, but better suited to my skin tone in my opinion. Whether you are breaking it down on the dance floor, or pouncing for the bouquet, this look is sure to impress!
I wish you all a very happy wedding season, and hope you have the most fun. If you’re getting married, then hopefully you’re day goes well and I’m sure you’ll look beautiful. If there’s any brides who want to follow this makeup look for their wedding day, be sure to get some fab photos. Making sure you look your best for your wedding will probably be at the forefront of your mind, having the best hair, makeup and dress is important for any bride. One of my friends did tell me about this wedding dress franchise called Winnie Couture – Wedding Dresses in Chicago if you haven’t found your dream wedding dress yet. If you live near Chicago, maybe that’s worth looking at. However, you can always look for a wedding dress store more local to you as well. Make sure you feel beautiful on your big day. Make some beautiful memories and have the best time! I hope everyone enjoys this LORAC Unzipped tutorial, and those who give it a spin yourselves, be sure to take some pictures!

Hey guys! So this may be the first hair tutorial I have ever posted on here…I can’t remember, aha. But I wanted to get one up since I get a fair amount of requests for these on my youtube channel! These ombre hair extensions are absolutely gorgeous, and I am so excited to be able to try it out. It really adds dimension to the curls, and I am so enjoying rocking this look!
I used a John Frieda curling iron, in 1.5″ from Amazon but you can get it at Ulta too! Right now, they are offering a FREE John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Cream (offer valid 7/2/14-8/2/14 or while supplies last). It is a really great curling iron, it heats up fast and had great cool down time. I highly recommend it because it has Titanium Ceramic technology, which seals in moisture and cuts down on frizz! These are two very essential characteristics for any heat tool to have.
Ombre Hair Tutorial: Step by Step
Before applying heat to your hair, always prep with a heat protectant. My favorite is by Aphogee, and it is the Keratin & Green Tea Reconstructor. Keratin is the MVP in my hair regimen, and I highly recommend it for anyone with dyed or chemically processed hair!
Then I proceed to curl the hair! I used Aquage Hair Spray, and it is one of favorites. It gives amazing hold without the cruchiness that often comes with other hair sprays!

Ultimate Spring Makeup Look—a Spring-y Pop of Color!
Hey guys! I was recently approached by Preen.me to try the Lancome Visionnaire [1 Minute Blur] Skin Perfecter, and I decided to upload my ultimate beauty look for Spring to go along with it! This look features a defined crease, a neutral matte lid, a cat eye and a nude lip. Pretty basic right? But my favorite part of this look are the accents: a bold, duo-chrome pop of color along the lower lash line and a bright gold highlight in the inner eye.
I was more than blown away with how beautifully this base performed, especially with makeup applied on top. If you want to know more about his product, check out my full review. To see how I got this look, check out my tutorial below!
