Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014

Shanina Shaik – 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in London – Hair And Makeup

Who’s excited for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014? Perhaps the better question is who ISN’T excited.  I can’t wait to watch it! I was looking at photos online, and came across an article in which the lead makeup artist Dick Page outlined what he used as well as his vision for the makeup looks: glam but effortless.  I found products that were extremely close to the shades he used, but you can find his picks here: he used the shades Sable, Caviar and Shoyu.  After looking at photos, I just had to get this look up! I was especially the one worn by Shanina Shaik, she looks radiant and if you follow my tutorial below, you can too! This gorgeous look, is also classic and perfect for parties this time of year.  Everything used is listed below!

Rihanna CFDA Makeup Tutorial: Silver Smokey Eyerihanna cfda

Hey guys! Today I am so excited to put up my Rihanna CFDA makeup look!  I first saw the look a couple weeks ago, and knew I wanted to replicate it almost immediately.  I always love her makeup, but this is honestly my favorite one by far!  It is really easy to recreate, the trick is to just make sure you have the right colors, and be on top of your blending.  It took awhile for the props to get here, so that’s why there was a delay.  I hope you all enjoy!

Beyonce Makeup tutorial for a look that shouts “Classic Glam”

beyonce makeup

This Beyonce Makeup look is back in vogue!

‘Tis the season for weddings, prom, formals, and graduation so I thought I would bring back some timeless glam.  I remember seeing this look when it came out on the cover in 2013 and being wowed by it! It is truly a timeless classic look that is simple, glamorous, and sultry all rolled into one!  In order to spice things up I added a second lip option—a bold yet classic matte red that is both deep and alluring.  I paired the look with feathery wispy lashes by Red Cherry, and bombshell curls.  I hope you all enjoy!! I honestly had so much fun with this one.

Ben Nye Banana Powder for highlight and contour

IMG_5255_post

I was first introduced to the Banana powder through YouTube! It was around the time Kim Kardashian’s highlight contour routine was blowing up and I fell in love with it.  I heard it was super versatile, and worked well on a wide range of skintones so I decided to give it a go depite the fact that Kim is more than a few shades lighter than I am.  It has become a staple in my beauty and makeup routine, and I find that I can comfortably use it all year round when I adjust the amount I use and how I apply it.  If you watch any of my makeup tutorials on YouTube, you can see this super powder in action.

The Trick is to

…make sure you find the amount that works for you.  Too much powder will leave ou with a ghostly look, but too little will be ineffective.  The right amount gives a beautiful glowing highlight that’s bright without flashback and adds gorgeous dimension to your face!

Also make sure you use the right tools! Some people like to use a sponge to press it into the skin, let it set and then brush away the excess.  This doesn’t work too well for me so I had to play around with it to find the best way for me!  The most important thing to remember is to blend, blend, blend.  This will ensure an even coverage that is essential to a natural finish.
