Hey guys! We are in the middle of prom season, and so I wanted to come on and film a glitter free prom makeup tutorial that is super versatile, will last all night, and is very wearable and comfortable to rock 🙂 I personally hate glitter for all night looks. It irritates my eyes, it transfers all over my face and my outfit, and I don’t find it very flattering for pictures either. I love this look because it is mostly matte, which is super flattering, but it also has a touch of shine in the inner eye for extra glam! I hope you all love the look, and have a happy, safe prom season

Hey guys! I wanted to come on and film this video on positive thinking in response to all the messages and comments I received after my Trusting God video! I have been through hard times and I know the toll it can take on you mentally. Through it all, I have come to rely on my faith in God, in addition to a number of lifestyle changes. Living your best life means being intentional in the moment, but it also means changing your habits and routines to support more positive thinking. I am now learning that how we think is linked to how we emotionally feel, and our emotions are inextricable linked to how we live and care for ourselves.
I hope you all enjoy the video! They have helped me so much, and I hope they help you too 🙂
I am not ashamed to admit that I have seen the new Get Out movie 3 times. 3 separate times. In a movie theatre. It’s just that good.
Let me start by saying that this isn’t a movie I planned on seeing. Even after my brother sent me the trailer a couple months before it came out. That being said, it stand as one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in theaters in part due to the reaction is receives each time. It is a living, breathing production, and it is almost impossible to be an innocent bystander to this film. It forces you to participate.
I have been the only black person in the room enough times, from my private school upbringing to my Ivy League college education, to tell you that the interactions shown in this film are stunningly accurate. Painfully so, and in some ways, numbingly so.
I don’t want to go into too much detail here, so check out the video review below. Also, here are some fun articles to get into. BEWARE OF SPOILERS!
Winter Lookbook Featuring Affordable Outfits for Curvy Figures!
Hey Guys 🙂 I wanted to come on and do my first ever fashion video! This video was a lot of fun, and really made me want to put out more like it. These outfits are comfortable and flattering picks for curvy girls with curvy figures—particularly curvy hips. They are also so affordable, and wearable, that they will make great staples that can be mixed and matched across styles and seasons. Enjoy! Be sure to watch the video below 🙂
Outfit 1: Monochrome Jade
I love pairing fitting silhouettes with loose-fitting pieces on top. This is the first of those looks. I think these looks allow me to flatter my figure in a wearable and comfortable way, and this outfit is no exception. Paired with the thigh high boots, it dresses the look up but it also looks very cute with a heeled bootie. This outfit is not the warmest, as the material of the dress and trench are pretty thin, but it’s great for days when you’ll be indoors!
This outfit is the perfect balance between comfy and cute. I love the flannel, not just because of the comfort it gives this look, but also for how warm it is. It is the perfect choice for when I am bored of my cardigans, but still want something cozy to throw on. I love the red—it adds a pop to the outfit. To make the flannel more feminine, and make the outfit look more pulled together, I like to add a red lip and a pair of thigh high boots. Perfect for a football game, or a day out. You will love how effortlessly cute you look in this one!
This outfit is one of my favorites. It’s very classy, and can be easily dressed up, but it’s also super comfortable. It works well for a day out—coffee or lunch—and changing the shoes to heeled booties or a tall black boot seamlessly transition this outfit to a nighttime look. The dress is supposed to fall right above the knee, but it can be adjusted for preference. The waterfall detail on the duster really elevates the piece, as the material is admittedly not my favorite.
I have to admit that this outfit is a little bit out of my comfort zone, it’s a little more edgy and less girly, but I was really happy with it in the end! I love the monochrome aspect, and the bright orange interior on the jacket adds a welcome pop of color. I love the dress! The material is thicker than your average bodycon dress, so it’s super warm and very flattering. It will easily conceal tights, which I had on, and I imagine spanx if you want to wear those too! At 40$, the bomber is an absolute steal and it is also super warm.
This is one of the few mostly white outfits I love. The lighting makes it hard to see, but the dress is white and the vest is an off white cream suede exterior with a cream fur inside. This outfit is very warm, even without a coat, and very comfortable for all day wear. The taupe boots tie everything together, and is a chic addition to the look! Be sure to pair this with sheer tights if you decide to go black, opaque tights will be too stark a contrast.
I have to say that as many kits I have received, it never gets old! Each time, I have to take a moment and pinch myself at the thought that these brands not only have seen my work, but also like it enough to reach out. It’s truly humbling, and I have to thank each and every one of you—my supporters—for all of your love and support! I am so grateful to God for giving me the platform, and to all of you for being a part of it.
