I am an Ivy League graduate with a BA in Political Theory and a minor in African Studies. I majored in Political Philosophy and minored in African Studies with a concentration in History and Gender Politics. Preparing for law school, to move forward with the next stages of my career, I decided that I wanted more. I started this blog as part of my journey to finding a larger purpose in my life separate from my vocation, and I believe that part of that purpose is to be a source of inspiration and empowerment for women like me who were and are different.
So, yes. This is a “Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle blog,” but it is also so much more. It is a personal diary. A guide. A travel log. This blog is a chronicle of all that I have been, all that I am now, and all that I strive to be, told through the lens of something a lot of us girls can relate to:
fashion and beauty.
The truth is, I have always been different. Now that I am 22, I can look back and honestly say that I have learned to find power in my difference, pride in my heritage, and inspiration in my gender. I am here to share what I have learned.
Here are my tips, my advice, and my journey. Here is My Story.
